The Teaching and Learning Development Office is excited to announce a gamification project collaboration with the Psychology Department. In this project, an innovative EEG Lab Training Game is designed to enhance neuroscientific education and students' practical skills.

The EEG Lab Training Game incorporates interactive challenges, allowing students to practice electrode placement, data collection and data analysis. In a simulated environment, students can familiarize themselves with the equipment and learn about the EEG research methodology.

Traditionally, access to EEG labs and equipment has been limited due to their high cost and availability. Only a few selected students have had the opportunity to directly engage with these resources. However, with the introduction of the EEG Lab Training Game, students now have the chance to practice and hone their skills in operating these specialised instruments before undertaking actual procedures. By simulating real scenarios, the game aims to bridge the gap between theory and practice. This training tool will empower a larger number of students to learn how to operate EEG equipment and further their understanding of neuroscientific research.

A short demonstration video of the game has also been prepared:

The EEG Lab Training Game will be launched in the near future, please stay tuned for further updates.
